The academy was founded in 1998 and until 2015 it was headquartered near Paris. Why decided to choose the French Riviera? The answer is simple: lots of sunshine, good weather, and the airport is close. Every year, it takes in 200 to 250 children aged 9 to 10 years. The complex houses residences and schools (a French school and an international school). Gioffre is involved in projects ranging from 12 to 18 years old. “I work with kids from 16 and up and the academy provides them with a full-time tennis coach, a strength and conditioning coach. Today I’m with two tennis players, but there will be two more, and so on.
