Actor Will Smith attended an event in Baltimore to promote his wife Jada’s autobiography.
Will Smithsomewhat surprisingly, showed up at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore to support his wife. Jada Pinkett Smithis busy promoting her autobiography “Worthy.”
Also present at the event were children Jaden and Willow, Jada’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris and Trey, Smith’s son from his first marriage.
Unexpected participation
Will Smith explained that he decided to attend the event to promote Jada’s book, to be present as his wife in the past when he was in the media spotlight. The Oscar-winning actor then opened up about their relationship, explaining: “We had a very, very long and tumultuous relationship. We call it “cruel”: it was cruel and beautiful at the same time.“.
Will and Jada, despite being separated for six years, have no plans to divorce and are working on creating a positive partnership. The actor also emphasized that in the past his wife had to sacrifice her ambitions to allow him to achieve his dreams, and also formed a bond with Trey’s mother, Sheri Zampino, to allow her husband to have all of their children with him.
Smith further noted: “We got together when we were twenty. I had huge dreams of what I wanted to do in the world and in my life, and I was full of passion and vision. And as I stand here before you tonight, I have never been happier in my life.“.

The actor then explained that he had been in Papua New Guinea for the past three weeks conducting biodiversity research, and therefore did not hear about the news regarding the divorce and their relationship until he arrived in Sydney. Will repeated: “Our union is a raw experiment in unconditional love. Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet and I will be there for her and support her for the rest of my life.“.
