The NAACP Image Awards have announced their third round of non-television winners, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Drama Series, Outstanding Documentary and Breakthrough Creative Work.
Purple Director Blitz Bazawule won the latter film category, while The thickest survival Star and co-creator Michelle Buteau named TV’s Breakthrough Creative.
Wednesday’s honorees also included Michael B. Jordan, who saturday night livewhile Alan Hughes takes directing fee for FX/Hulu docuseries dear mother About Tupac and Afeni Shakur.

Bazaul’s Purple and Jordan’s Creed III Also won the Outstanding Ensemble Actor and Stunt Performance Awards respectively.
The NAACP recognized the winners in the Non-televised Image Awards category this week in a virtual ceremony and will continue to recognize winners at the awards banquet and program on March 14 and the fashion show on March 15 .The awards dinner will be hosted by Sherri Shepherd and presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Frankie Beverley. The fashion show will be hosted by Brandee Evans and will honor June Ambrose with the NAACP Fashion Vanguard Award.
The 55th annual NAACP Image Awards will air live on Saturday on BET and CBS at 8pm ET/PT, hosted by Queen Latifah.
