Ten years ago World War Z Zombie-apocalyptic film based on best-selling novel released World War Z. World War Zombie Max Brooks 2006. Brad Pitt fell in love with it after reading it, deciding in 2007 to buy the rights from his film production company Plan B Entertainment, planning a big screen adaptation.
The production was incredibly long, the wait for the incarnation is tiring. The biggest hurdle was to find script protagonist as the novel consists of multiple survival stories with multiple central characters. For this reason, the script was revised several times. However, the audience began to gasp as soon as designer Daniel Luvisi posted several sketches of the Battle of Yonkers on DevianArt, and when the trailer was released, he gave the film a chilling horror atmosphere.
However, when the film came out viewers and critics divided in half: There are those who are speechless throughout the film thanks to the chases and action scenes, and instead those who are speechless, waiting for a more accurate rendering of the novel or a more gory horror movie.
Scenario
The film tells the story of protagonist Jerry Lane, a former United Nations employee played by Brad Pitt, who is trying to save his family after an epidemic spreads. undead pandemic that flood the streets of all cities. The world seems doomed, but Jerry, several scientists and soldiers set off on a journey in search of a vaccine against this new type of virus. The last desperate attempt before the extinction of the human race.
The plot is one of the turning points For Viewers: Some expected a more accurate implementation of Brooks’ novel, where the narrative follows more voices and perspectives from various pandemic survivors. But it was clear that the writers had to find a compromise, a common thread for a film that would retain the spirit of the book but introduce a different focus: Jerry Lane.
Jerry Lane is the protagonist of the film also because everyone the rest of the characters are literally in the background. IN World War Z Brad Pitt is a typical hero of classic fiction: determined, always knowing the right choice and, finally, unshakable. Of course, the main character is not without fear in his heart, but he meets any difficulties with great perseverance.
Zombie World War Z
To take a little break from the Brad Pitt scene, there is living Dead! Unlike what we are usually used to: they are not as slow as in the walking Deadnor do they resemble the cannibalistic undead from the classic Night of the Living Dead. Zombies are parasites through which the virus spreads, they are cruel, fast, smart in their own way, but not gluttonous (you will never see a zombie eating human flesh).

Apart from the pun, World War Z it’s not horror, as it was presented, but more of a thriller. There are no raw, gore, or gore scenes here, in fact, the film relies entirely on another factor: tension so well built and palpable that it holds the whole story in its own right. The film doesn’t want to go beyond a certain level of gore because it’s trying to be open to the widest possible audience.
The film is linear, follows the characteristics classic storytelling: The hero of the moment, who sets out on a journey, faces all sorts of difficulties, but always finds a way to survive in the end. While this may seem trivial or redundant to some, it does not detract from the excellent success of the film; which was a box office success and became the highest-grossing zombie film of all time.
