The Los Angeles Lakers have a better team than last season, but that doesn’t mean they have their dream team. The idea of adding another star to form a “Big Three” with LeBron James and Anthony Davis remains in the minds of Cal’s front office.
Given Los Angeles’ continued desire to bolster its roster, the NBA Analytics Network portal, an expert in evaluating possible trades, identified three “dream” changes for the Lakers front office and fans.
Damian Lillard is a great man on this transfer market. It’s clear and well known that he wants to leave Portland for a team that has a better chance of becoming a champion. The Lakers can give him what he’s asking for, a team truly capable of competing for a ring.
Lillard’s arrival will come as a relief to head coach Davon Hamm, as it will remove any doubts about D’Angelo Russell or Gabe Vincent as the starting point guard. Lillard is a superstar who will form a great “Big Three” with James and Davis because his outside shooting is a necessity.
Fadeaway World reporter Eddie Bitar mentioned a hypothetical trade that would bring Lillard from the Trail Blazers to the Lakers in exchange for D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and Los Angeles in 2029 A first-round pick in the draft.
