Main character Kraven – Hunter, Aaron Taylor Johnsontalks about the intense training and weight gain he went through to play the villain Spider-Man. Taylor-Johnson is no stranger to superhero films, throughout his career he starred in Kick in the Ass and had a brief role in the MCU as Quicksilver, opposite Elizabeth Olsen. However, in order to Aaron Taylor Johnson back to superheroes Kraven – Hunter Sony, the actor had to stick to a workout regimen like never before.
Speaking to Esquire, Aaron Taylor Johnson showed the intense training he went through for Kraven the Hunter. According to the magazine, the actor was aware of the importance of his chest shape to the character, which forced him to train hard for several months. Taylor-Johnson also learned to run like a quadruped to be believable as Kraven, who has animal powers in the film. His training also included other elements such as tracking deer with a hunter, studying the life and work of a late wildlife photographer. Peter Beard and spend time with the ecologist Damian Aspinalldescribed by Taylor-Johnson as a “punk anarchist”.
First trailer from Kraven the Hunter teased that the film paints the character in a more positive light than expected. Although the footage showed that Taylor-Johnson’s version of Kraven would be as deadly as the comic book character thanks to the film’s R rating, he would not be the film’s villain.
