All about Olympia and Adira

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are the proud parents of two daughters.

The couple welcomed their first daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., nicknamed Olympia, on September 17. January 1, 2017. Five years later, they expanded their family when Williams gave birth to their youngest daughter, Adira River Ohanian, in August 2023.

“My only rule when training is to finish at 1pm because as much as I love tennis, I need to be with her,” she said. “I want to put her above everything I do. I haven’t been away from her for more than a day since she was born.”

The tennis icon added of her second child, “If I didn’t work and I was pregnant… I don’t know if I would still want to play if I had another child…”

Williams retired from tennis in September 2022, nearly a year after giving birth to her second child. A few months later, during an episode of the Daily People podcast, she shared that Olympia was glad her mom had more free time.

“She wanted to make sure I am “I realized I should have time, I need to spend more time with her,” Williams said. “It’s funny… but it’s good because little kids really want to be with their parents. Williams and Ohanian’s eldest daughter, Olympia, was born in September. January 1, 2017, St. Mary’s Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida. Ohanian shared the news on Instagram, writing: “Welcome little Alexis Olympia Ohanian, we are so excited to meet you… Our little girl is already the perfect companion for mommy ”

The tennis icon previously announced her pregnancy by posting a photo of her pregnant belly on Snapchat at 20 weeks pregnant.she later told vanity fair Just before she won the 2017 Australian Open, she found out she was pregnant.

Adira R. Ohanian

The couple’s second daughter, Adira, was born in August 2023. They first revealed the news in a TikTok video, with Ohanian later posting a family photo on Instagram.

“Welcome, Adira R. Ohanian. I’m happy to say our house is filled with love: a happy and healthy newborn girl and a happy and healthy mom,” he captioned the image. “Grateful. @serenawilliams, you have now given me another unparalleled gift – you are GMOAT. Williams originally announced her pregnancy in May 2023 while attending the Met Gala with Ohanian. “I was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala,” she captioned a photo of her and her husband. Ohanian told People magazine at the time that “no one was more excited” about the pregnancy than Olympia. “She’s been wanting this,” he said. “She’s been praying and asking about it for a while, so she’s ready.”
