Yet despite creepy stalkers, hallucinations, suspicious bloodstains, evil goats and the like, Delicate is still one of the most focused seasons of American Horror Story in a long time, perhaps from the very beginning. Based on a specific novel and focusing on a single main character, this is an abbreviated season with a less chaotic approach rather than a large cast of characters and storylines.
The cast of American Horror Story: Delicate reflects this, as on this particular occasion, Roberts seems to have a more cohesive ensemble around him. In previous seasons, the cast has been much larger, especially in early episodes such as “Coven” or “Freak Show” in which their focus was on multiple characters and storylines. Because of this, storylines have been more numerous in the past, with Season 10’s “Double Feature” indulging the habit even more by introducing one season with two completely different storylines.
