Presented in competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. “Asteroid City” the latest and most anticipated film Wes Andersonwhich will be released in Italian cinemas on September 28 by Universal Pictures Italia.
On occasion research weekwhich will take place across Europe from 25 to 29 September and will conclude with the Night of European Explorers on Tuesday 26 September at Space cinema A special screening of “Asteroid City” will take place in Naples.
Proceeds from the evening will be completely donated to charity. at the National Cancer Institute IRCSS – Pascal Foundation, one of the most important Italian institutes for oncology treatment and research.
Asteroid City takes place in 1955, in a remote desert town where an astronomy conference called “Young Stargazer” is being held. The event attracts aspiring scientists from across the country to showcase their inventions. However, in this scenario, an alien appears and the United States government, alarmed by the aliens’ presence, quarantines everyone present, forcing different personalities to coexist and create unexpected connections. The cast will include actors such as Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston and Margot Robbie.
