Saturday 29 it’s up to “Evil Doesn’t Exist” by Iranian dissident Mohammad Rasoulof, Sunday 30 to the famous “Double Life of Veronica” by Krzysztof Kieślowski. Monday 31st we return to the dramatic life of Emily Dickinson in Terence Davis’ A Quiet Passion, in which Cynthia Nixon plays the American poet. Tuesday 1 August there is David Cronenberg’s cult film Videodrome, a 1983 film that, between science fiction and horror, captures the influence of the media and the power of imagery. Wednesday 2 In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-Wai is a love story set in the 1960s during the collapse of colonial empires.
