Bad Bunny is officially making his big move into video games as the hugely popular Latin artist is featured in the new edition of 2K’s best-selling wrestling title, WWE 2K23.
2K division Take-Two Interactive has announced WWE 2K23 Bad Bunny Edition, available from Friday. Bad Bunny is a well-known WWE fan who took part in a street fight in San Juan at the WWE Backlash 2023 premium event, where he defeated Damian Priest. The playable character Bad Bunny in WWE 2K23 wears the Adidas Men’s Tech Fall 2.0 wrestling shoes and the outfit he wore at Backlash 2023.
The news comes after Bad Bunny just announced North American dates for his Most Wanted tour.
“Following the global success of Bad Bunny’s new album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana last week and his historic match at WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico, we are excited to continue our partnership with the world’s greatest artist and continue to break records with WWE 2K23 Bad Bunny Edition,” said Neil Lauie, WWE Music Director.
The Bad Bunny Edition is available for $139.99 (list price) and includes the WWE 2K23 Icon Edition with the Bad Bunny Superstar Pack, which includes the following content: a playable version of Bad Bunny; Bad Bunny Diamond level MyFaction EVO card that can be upgraded to Pink Diamond; Bad Bunny MyFaction logo, sign and background; Part of the LWO Puerto Rico shirt for Superstar Creator; and 15,000 VC (the game’s virtual currency).
WWE 2K23 Icon Edition also includes the Ruthless Aggression Pack, featuring early “Prototype” John Cena, as well as “Leviathan” Batista, evolving versions of Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton, John Cena’s Legacy Championship and WrestleMania 22 Arena; along with other content.
Players who already own WWE 2K23 can purchase the Bad Bunny Superstar Pack as a separate purchase for $9.99. The Bad Bunny package is also available for $89.99; including the WWE 2K23 Cross-Gen Standard Edition, Bad Bunny Superstar Pack, Bad Bunny Bonus Pack, and 32,500 VC.
In addition, Bad Bunny will host and perform as musical guest on Saturday Night Live on NBC on Saturday, October 21st.
