The wax figure of Dwayne Johnson at the Grevin Museum in Paris is being ridiculed

A new wax figure of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has fans scratching their heads.

The statue, which was recently unveiled at the Musée Grevin in Paris, depicts the “Moana” star with his arms crossed in blue trousers, a black belt, sneakers and a blue golf shirt, with something between a smile and a smirk on his face.

Yes, this outfit makes it look like he’s either a math teacher dressed for class on a casual Friday or a suburban dad about to take his kids to the movie theater.

And while many people have wondered what “The Rock” has in store over the years, they are now left to wonder what the artist might have been thinking. Many people feel the statue doesn’t do Johnson justice, with some pointing out on the museum’s Instagram page that it looks like Mr. Clean or Vin Diesel, who starred alongside Johnson in the Fast and the Furious franchise.

“Yes! That’s not The Rock, maybe his stuntman lol,” one person commented.

“Dwayne Vin Diesel Johnson,” another person wrote.

“Mr. Clean,” someone else joked.

Some have also questioned the statue’s skin tone, which appears lighter than Johnson’s.

“Who is this because uhhh… You know he’s Samoan and black right lol?” someone else intervened.

“Why would you whiten it with wax?” – asked another person.

TODAY.com has reached out to Johnson for comment.

The museum announced the wax figure’s unveiling earlier this month on social media. One post included a video of Johnson’s tattoos being incorporated into a wax figure.

“It took a lot of research to make sure they matched the ones in The Rock perfectly!” read the signature.
