It’s called Creating Infinity and it’s the collection born from the collaboration of Louis Vuitton with the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, which has now become iconic thanks to his bags with colored dots. Cate Blanchett, Léa Seydoux, Hoyeon Jung, Zhou Dongyu and Naomi Osaka: these are the big names to which the Maison has entrusted the new advertising campaign and to which Justin Timberlake has also recently been added. The singer thus made his debut as a model, proving to boast enormous talent even in this unprecedented role. All the artists were photographed by Steven Meisel and made up by Pat McGrath, becoming protagonists of real works of art.

For the shooting made for Louis Vuitton Justin Timberlake opted for a total black look with a t-shirt and coordinated trousers, all enriched by a “dotted” denim jacket that is part of the collection created in collaboration with the well-known Japanese artist. What made the difference was the bag he sported on his arm: a maxi shopper decorated not only with the iconic tone-on-tone Maison logo but also with huge colored pumpkins. Their meaning? They are a sort of alter-ego of Yayoi Kusama, a reference to her childhood, as well as the symbol of a hostile but also reassuring nature. The capsule collection will arrive in stores worldwide on March 31st, while for the moment you can “make do” with the images of the campaign that appeared on billboards and glossy magazines.
