BTS Layover’s V joins Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts and others at No. 2 on Billboard’s best-selling albums chart.

BTS’s V made his solo debut with the studio album Layover. The now released album has won the love and attention of fans of the K-pop artist. Layover was released on September 8th. Since then, the pop-R&B album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 charts, and BTS’s V has become the most successful Korean soloist in Billboard history, joining bandmates Suga and Jimin.

Billboard recently published a list of the best-selling albums for the current week. On the list was BTS V’s solo debut studio album Layover. The album peaked at number two behind Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts. Other albums on the list included Mitski’s “The Land Is Inhospitable” and “So Are We,” Demi Lovato’s “Revamped” and Dan+Shay’s “Bigger Houses.” From a commercial point of view, the album performed well on both domestic and international charts. Layover sold 100,000 copies in its first week of release, leading it to enter the Billboard 200. Layover debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Japan charts and is considered the best-selling album.

BTS V’s relocation

BTS’s V recently wrapped up his ongoing Layover promotions in South Korea and Japan. Layover has six tracks: Rainy Days, Blue, Love Me Again, Slow Dancing, For Us and a piano version of Slow Dancing. All tracks on the studio album have separate music videos. BTS’ V collaborated with ADOR producer Min Hee Jin on the album. Slow Dancing is the title track of the album. Along with V, you can also see his pet dog Yeontan in some music videos and live performances. The album cover features his pet dog Yeontan. BTS’s V released the album on Yeontan’s birthday, which was September 8th. The BTS members, along with their Wooga Squad, also showed their support for the album.
