Did LeBron James know the Bucks were trading Damian Lillard?

Damian Lillard was traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of Wednesday’s blockbuster three-team trade. One NBA superstar may have seen a trade like this coming.

When deciding on the All-Star roster in last season’s draft, team captain LeBron James noticed typical behavior from opposing team captain Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo chose Lillard instead of his Milwaukee Bucks teammate Jrue Holiday.

James is in trouble.

“Look, Antetokounmpo changed this weekend. You know he always talks about loyalty, loyalty and stuff like that, right? So I’m sure his first choice will be Zhu. So I don’t know what’s going on with Antetokounmpo.” James pointed at Antetokounmpo with a suspicious finger and said.

James seems to realize that Antetokounmpo is up to something evil. James appears to be absolutely right.

In hindsight, Antetokounmpo may have been trying to send a message to Lillard and get the attention of his crush. Six months later, the move paid off.

When Lillard requested a trade from Portland, it was said that Lillard only wanted to be traded to the Miami Heat, but he ultimately accepted the deal from Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo drafting him first in the All-Star Game probably didn’t hurt the relationship between the two players. James recognized this before anyone else.
