BTS’s Jungkook dethrones Suga to become the most streamed Korean soloist of all time on Spotify

Jungkook’s solo album may still be two weeks away, but the BTS star is already setting plenty of records! Having charted domestically and internationally with his digital singles, the Seven singer has set another major Spotify record.

Jungkook makes Spotify history

Jungkook’s debut solo album may be released on November 3rd, but the singer has already managed to become the most streamed Korean soloist of all time on Spotify. Yes, you read that right! With his digital singles Seven, 3D, Dreamers and more, the BTS star surpassed 2.8 billion streams and dethroned his bandmate Suga aka Agust D to take the top spot.

ARMYs rushed to celebrate Jungkook’s latest feat! Dubbing him the “King of Spotify,” one fan wrote, “The fact that Jungkook was already the MOST streamed K-pop soloist in Spotify history even before his own album became one of the biggest achievements ever. 2 weeks before his own solo album and 7 songs released!” Another added, “Jungkook got his Spotify page in February 2022 with the release of Stay Alive. Yesterday he became the #1 most popular Korean and K-pop soloist in Spotify history in just 20 months and with only 7 songs. So proud!”
