This year’s NBA free agency has taken an interesting turn. One of the major storylines involves a massive overhaul to build on the Los Angeles Lakers’ success in the playoffs. Rob Pelinka is beginning to admit that LeBron James may be entering the twilight of his career. The window for the Larry O’Brien Trophy may be closing, but that’s why they chose to bring in Christian Wood.
Lakers fans, you heard that right! Christian Wood is set to play for the Lakers. He signed Rob Pelinka to a two-year contract. According to ESPN, his tenure in the City of Angels includes a player option in his contract.
This could be the start of the Lakers’ search for No. 18 in the rafters. They have very good shooters in Rui Hachimura, Cam Reddish and Austin Reaves. Additionally, Wood adds so much firepower to the team and much-needed floor spacing. Many Lakers loyal fans are ecstatic about Rob Pelinka’s move. That number is even more impressive considering the financial details of the deal.
And many fans couldn’t help it but give trust How Pelinka turned the lineup around. It is worth noting that some Los Angeles fans have questioned the lineup construction after the acquisition of Russell Westbrook. Now, all of that is blurred for Wood’s 1+1 minimum deal.
