Daniele Malvisi Quartet – Curtain on jazz and wine in Arezzo

The tenth JazzandWine event, conceived by the Ivan Bruschi Foundation in collaboration with the Jazz on the Corner Association Francesco Giustini, will end this evening on the terraces of Casa Bruschi overlooking the Pieve.

The last concert will feature music by the Daniele Malvisi Quartet, which will present the album “Io sono un Albero”. They will perform with tenor saxophone Daniele Malvisi, Simona Basile on guitar, Francesco Pierotti on double bass and Dario Rossi on drums. Daniele Malvisi is one of the most exciting saxophonists on the national stage, having collaborated with musicians of the caliber of Danilo Rea, William Parker, Paolo Fresu, Roberto Gatto, Hamid Drake and many others.

“This music is dedicated to my son Cesare and represents a physical restoration of the inspiration that he gave me in the many moments spent together – this is how Daniele Malvisi describes the recording project that he will carry out at the Ivan Bruschi House Museum – Album title “Io sono un Tree” ” is actually a short poem he wrote years ago when he was a kid, and it perfectly encapsulates how I wrote these songs.

The music of this repertoire, while evocative of distant cultures and worlds, is bound by a homogeneous compositional idea that allows you to recognize yourself in your own identity, tirelessly traveling between distant worlds and spaces. I want to define this collection of songs as something that is born, grows and defines itself naturally, following the natural rhythm of things, like a tree.”

Tonight, starting at 21.15, on the terrace of the Ivan Bruschi House Museum in Corso Italia, as always, jazz music will be accompanied by a tasting of local wines, organized by the delegation of the Italian Sommelier Association from Arezzo and the Strada del Vino Terre di. Arezzo Association.

Tickets for the evening are sold at Casa Museo Ivan Bruschi at a price of 12 euros per person, including the first tasting and a visit to the museum, which will also be possible in the days and weeks after the concert.
