DC, The Rock vitriolic on the farewell of Henry Cavill and the relaunch of the franchise!

FILM INFORMATION

It seems that The Rock couldn’t wait to face Henry Cavill’s Superman. Dwayne Johnson himself spoke who, during the “champagne carpet” of the Oscars, spoke of the rebirth of DC Studios and the exit of Henry Cavill from the renewed project by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Johnson took the stage at the Dolby Theater alongside Emily Blunt to present the award for Best Animated Feature. Walking the long line of microphones outside the theatre, the actor commented that the last appearance of the Superman by Henry Cavill is right in Black Adam. “It’s almost like when you have a pro football team and your quarterback wins championships and your head coach wins championships and then a new owner comes along and says, ‘Not my coach, not my quarterback.’ I’m going with someone new” commented.

The Rock’s vitriolic words suggest that things, with DC, it doesn’t seem like they closed in the best way. Before the relaunch of the division, it seems that The Rock had lobbied for a Black Adam vs Superman film on the Warner top management, greatly annoying the president and various CEOs. The fact that in Gunn’s new project there is no room for the two characters it brought some resentment in the words of Dwayne Johnson who did not take the decision of the upper floors very well.

Speaking of actors known to the DC world, Idris Elba spoke of a possible return to the franchise hoping to play the role of Bloodsport. What do you think? Tell us about it in the comments!
