Dennis Rodman reveals he never spoke to Michael Jordan despite winning three straight championships with him

The basketball world has been buzzing about Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and their teammates following the release of “The Last Dance,” a joint venture between ESPN Films and Netflix. This 10-part documentary tells the story of Michael Jordan and the iconic Chicago Bulls of the 1990s.

The unforgettable “Big Three” in league history include Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. They were a force to be reckoned with on the court, although Rodman admitted their rapport off the court wasn’t as strong.

In a 2011 conversation with Graham Benzinger, Rodman revealed that he, Pippen and Jordan were not involved in the discussions. He said that his duty is not to socialize but to win,

“Well, I don’t think it’s important. What’s important is winning. It’s not my job to interact with people. My job is to understand how people operate and make them believe that I belong there.”

Rodman further shared: “Scotty, Michael and I never spoke in our three-plus years in Chicago. The only time we interacted was on the basketball court. People find that hard to believe…”

Dennis Rodman’s colorful birthday surprise for Marcus Jordan

Basketball superstar and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan left a legacy of unparalleled intensity on the court, winning six NBA championships through relentless discipline and hard work. Of course, he tried to instill these qualities in his children, but one incident involving his son Marcus still stirred up resentment.

One famous attendee at Marcus Jordan’s birthday party was superstar Dennis Rodman. However, Marcus’ father was not satisfied with the gift he chose.

Marcus Jordan shared an unforgettable birthday story on NBA TV. “Rodman came to my birthday and brought hair dye as a gift,” he said. “My parents immediately confiscated it and refused to let me keep it. I’m upset about it and I may have to discuss it with Rodman; I want it returned.”

Marcus talked about the time the five-time NBA champion attended his birthday party and the conflict his gift caused. Although Marcus’ exact age at the time remains uncertain, he was probably quite young when his father decided to take the gift.

Michael Jordan has publicly commented on his unparalleled competitiveness, which continued throughout his time playing with his sons. A strict father, he maintains ongoing contact with his children and conducts himself in a manner that actively supports his parenting goals.
