Digital home library, Cavezzo in the European project

“Testing a self-assessment tool to monitor digital skills in the library sector, participation in lifelong learning activities and adults.” This is the goal of the European Erasmus+ project called “Adele – Digital Empowerment of Libraries in Europe”, which also involves the Cavezzo Library. Along with other important partners from Italy (24 of which are realistic), Ireland, Belgium and Bulgaria, including libraries and cultural institutions, the library of the municipality of Bassa will also be involved, which is thus at the forefront of this process, projecting the future of the library by bringing them into the homes of people using their services. “Next week,” Mayor Lisa Luppi says with satisfaction and pride, “our BIBLIO will take part, from August 28 to September 4, in the second international seminar of the project, which will be held in Brussels.” Adele’s project begins with the observation that digital technologies have profoundly changed our personal, professional and educational lives. Changes are also affecting the education sector, which is now exploring new roles, methods and services in the context of lifelong learning, especially for the adult world. But how can adult education organizations, especially those working in the non-formal education sector such as libraries, know if they are making the best use of digital technologies? Adele intends to respond to this need by offering a free and customizable Adele Tool that helps organizations think about how they use and where they can further integrate digital technologies to improve their services.
