Elsa Schiaparelli was born in Rome in 1890, in the magnificent Palazzo Corsini. He grew up in an aristocratic family, and his mother was a descendant of the Medici family. After living in London, she moved to Paris at the age of 32, where she caught the attention of fashion designer Paul Poiret, whose designs inspired her to become a fashion designer herself and open her own fashion house. In 1935, Elsa Schiaparelli moved into a mansion in Place Vendôme, the Hôtel de Fontpertuis, whose interiors were designed by Jean-Michel Franck and Alberto Giacometti. This is one of the first cases in the history of fashion when boutiques and ateliers are gathered in one place. Within a year, the house was a resounding success, and Elsa Schiaparelli became the darling of Paris, dressing the most important people in social life, from Wallis Simpson (the future Duchess of Windsor) to Marlene Dietrich and Katharine Hepburn. In 1937 he released his first perfume. shockingand moved to a private villa at 22 Berry Street. Here he arranges luxurious receptions and Salvador Dali, a close friend of the stylist, one of the most beloved guests. Elsa Schiaparelli lived in this house until her death in 1973.

The great collector Elsa Schiaparelli owns fine works of art such as the Francois Boucher tapestry and even installed desk in the bathroom.
