According to the Ministry of Health, most cases bring complications such as bronchitis and pneumonia, mainly in infants and the elderly. “The trend curve remains above the alert threshold, indicating unusual seasonal patterns in the Covid-19 pandemic,” part of the Health Ministry statement said.
They recalled that vaccines against influenza, COVID-19 and pneumococcal were available at all vaccination centres, and urged that regular vaccination schedules for children be kept up to date. On the other hand, they recommend keeping in mind daily care measures such as washing hands, using a mask if you have symptoms, and covering your coughs or sneezes into your elbow.
