Fans are convinced that Olivia Rodrigo threw shade at TikTok star Lil Huddy in her comment, but it doesn’t look like the viral interaction was actually real.

Olivia Rodrigo is a big name in the music business right now, having just released her latest album, GUTS.

Rodrigo put the internet in a stranglehold in 2021 with the release of his viral song Driver’s License and he’s been active in racing ever since.

However, many fans were stunned to see the star allegedly leave a comment throwing not-so-subtle shade at Chase Hudson, aka Lil Huddy, a music artist and TikTok star with a similar musical style.

Some fans believe that Olivia Rodrigo took inspiration from one of Chase Hudson’s songs.

Photos of a comment Rodrigo allegedly left on one of TikTok star Bryce Hall’s videos quickly went viral online.

In the short clip, Hall listens to a sample of Rodrigo’s song “Vampire,” which has lyrics very similar to Huddy’s “All The Things I Hate About You.”

Hall captioned the video, “Lil Huddy listens to Olivia Rodrigo copy his song,” seemingly poking fun at the similarities between the two tracks.

Nearly two months later, a screenshot from the video began circulating online, showing a comment from Olivia Rodrigo’s official account saying, “What the f**k is Lil Huddy?”

Many fans were convinced that Rodrigo called Hudson out online and left a slew of comments about Bryce quoting her alleged statement — but it turns out the whole situation was faked.

In fact, the person who created the fake comment apparently spoke about the situation on Twitter/X, admitting that he was actually behind it all.

Even Bryce Hall himself was convinced the whole ordeal was real and seemed shocked that his video resonated with Rodrigo… but unfortunately, she never publicly acknowledged Lil Huddy.
