Flalanels opens new store in Nottingham

We don’t usually focus on every new store a retailer opens, but each new branch of Flalanels feels like a real highlight and especially significant as owner Frasers Group aims to expand its luxury offering across the country and not just in traditional luxury enclaves.

The latest opening is a 15,000 square foot store. ft. in Nottingham, occupying two floors. The retailer says it will “bring the best of new luxury to Nottingham’s high street”. This is actually the Lister Gate address for the store, which used to be a branch on River Island but closed more than two years ago.

The offering includes a carefully curated mix of men’s, women’s and youth designer luxury clothing and accessories from brands such as Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Saint Laurent and Valentino.

Lauren Barry, head of retail, luxury and premium at Frasers Group, said the company offers “the biggest brands in luxury fashion and contemporary streetwear under one roof.”

The opening means the chain now has a portfolio of more than 60 stores across the UK and Ireland.

This follows the introduction of its regional flagship stores in Liverpool, Sheffield and Leicester.

Frasers Group has been very active lately with its Flannels chain of stores. In addition to the above openings, earlier this month the company opened its second location in Ireland in a 15,000 sq. ft. on St. Patrick’s Street.

The company has also invested heavily in its flagship store on Oxford Street in London, which is now known as Flalanels X. Last week it partnered with Hugo and Bella Poarch for a special collaboration for which it became the exclusive retailer. And a few months ago, a week-long pop-up opened here selling merchandise from Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour.
