Emma Stone may be on strike as a member of SAG, but the actress’s job in Poor things I’ve already received my reward. Stone, who gave birth to daughter Louise in March 2021, has no plans to slow down either. The source spoke to Us weekly about how she and her husband Dave McCary work together to take care of Louise and how important it is for her to continue to act.
“For Emma, quitting acting and becoming a housewife would be like cutting off one of her limbs. It’s just not her,” the source said. “Acting is as important to her as breathing, it’s part of who she is, and Dave is 100 percent behind her.”
“She and Dave are happy as a couple, which is one of the reasons they respect each other as artists,” the source continued, noting that Stone has a “great opportunity” to balance parenting and work. “She can take Louise with her on set and that makes a huge difference. There is no shortage of people in her circle who are willing to help Louise, and Emma is grateful to them.”
McCary and Stone
Stone and McCary feel great together. “They love their little family,” the source said. “Louise has brought them so much joy and they are growing and learning every day. They’re in this together. “Emma still has Hollywood ambition, drive and determination to do the best job she can, and that’s what keeps her going, and she believes doing what she loves will also make her a better mom.”
Stone and McCary keep their life together almost completely private. They met back in 2016 when Stone was a guest. SNL, and McCary served as segment director. They got engaged in 2019 and got married in September 2020.
