Giannis Antetokounmpo slapped with brutal LeBron James reality over Milwaukee Bucks’ Jrue trade

The Milwaukee Bucks reportedly bypassed Giannis Antetokounmpo when deciding to trade Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the blockbuster trade for Damian Lillard. That’s not to say they don’t value Giannis’ input, but the front office reportedly doesn’t want to burden Antetokounmpo with having to approve a trade for someone very close to him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had no say in Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to trade Jrue Holiday?

Magic Johnson, Bucks injury report

Apparently, even Holiday himself was unaware of the news before the deal was officially announced. If the two-time All-Star combo guard himself wasn’t informed, then maybe Giannis Antetokounmpo was too?

According to a rather convincing theory put forward by an NBA analyst named Big Ox, the idea that Giannis didn’t know Holiday was about to be traded is “naive”:

“I’m not even saying that Giannis is going to say, ‘No, don’t do that. Keep Djoru. All I’m saying is for you guys to believe they didn’t even consult Giannis, which is so naive. You’re so naive. That’s what you’re doing thing to do,” said Players Choice’s Big Ox (h/t sportskeeda’s Ernest Leo Hernandez).

Has Giannis Antetokounmpo given the green light for Jrue Holiday to leave?

It should be noted that, essentially, the Bucks traded Lillard at Antetokounmpo’s request. Although he did not directly instruct management to trade Dame, the fact is that he put a lot of pressure on the team when he revealed that he would leave Milwaukee if he could not win a championship in the near future.

According to Big Ox, Giannis must have wooed LeBron James — either directly or indirectly — by orchestrating the Lillard-Holiday trade:

“Every time someone gets traded on LeBron’s team, you don’t hear that the general manager is doing his job. Y’all refuse to hear that. “No, it’s LeGM. “He runs this. “He’s in charge of this. “But golden boy Giannis — the difference is you’re all smelling Giannis’ private parts, so he can do no wrong,” Daniel added.

Dallas is slamming Antetokounmpo fans who believe Giannis had absolutely no say in the team’s latest blockbuster trade. Believe it or not, there is no denying that this argument has at least some merit.
