The indie-pop trio, consisting of singer Josh Taylor, drummer Brett Kramer and bassist J. Tyler Johnson released their second album titled “Give Me Your Shoulders” in February.
The American band from Long Beach made themselves known all over the world with Still Feel., the first single from their debut album Now, Not Yet released in 2019. The song, accompanied by a music video, immediately captured the attention for its choreography and cinematography.
With over 276 million streams to date, the single Still Feel., certified gold by the RIAA in 2021, reached the Top 10 of Alt Radio in the United States and brought the band to play live on popular TV shows Jimmy Kimmel Live! and James Corden’s The Late Show.
Their debut album Now, Not Yet released through RCA Records amassed over 472 million streams and also garnered acclaim from coveted NPR (National Public Radio). To promote their new album, the trio embarked on a sold out tour around the world, starting in Australia and ending in Glasgow, Scotland. The band have also played major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and Firefly and have just wrapped up touring as opening acts for Twenty One Pilots on their TakeØver tour. Half•alive headlined the Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival on September 16, 2021, alongside the likes of Billie Eilish, Green Day, Tame Impala and many more.
In March 2021 the Californian band released the new single What’s Wrong together with a music video, announced as the first preview of their forthcoming second album. This was followed by the songs Time 2, Summerland and Make of It. What’s Wrong surpassed 12 million streams and was performed on the television program Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Half•Alive officially entered the music scene in 2017 with EP 3, released when the band consisted only of Josh Taylor and Brett Kramer. Soon after the release of the album, bassist J. Tyler Johnson joined the group, with whom they reached the pinnacle of success with Still Feel, a song that became a hit also thanks to the music video that has totaled over ten million views after only two months of publication.
