Former WTA player Daniela Hantuchova believes that Coco Gauff is the favorite to win the WTA Finals trophy and she has many similarities with Serena Williams.
Some might say comparing Goff to Serena Williams is a lazy comparison that’s easy to make, but actually, it makes a lot of sense. It’s mostly used as a complement to Gauff because some of the things she’s done in tennis haven’t been seen in a while.
She is already one of the best tennis players on the tour and one of the youngest to have her breakthrough at the age of 15. It’s not your typical career trajectory, so there will always be comparisons to legendary players.
Gauff will compete in the WTA Finals and is one of the favorites, having played very strong tennis recently. According to former player Hantuchova, she is a favorite for the trophy because she shares Serena’s love for the stage and bright lights.
