Like the Latins, the Börner family, who originated in Germany in the 2000s, sought to conquer distant territories in order to realize the dream of entrepreneur Anton F. Börner in the hilly countryside of Velletri, also an echo of ancient gestures. Today, thanks to his daughter Katharina, Lazio becomes a blackboard for writing wine lessons as a result of the creation of the company Ômina Romana, which takes its name from good wishes, namely omina, which determined the good result of work in the vineyard. Among the valuable brands, the summer taste fell on Hermes Diactoros II, Lazio Bianco IGT, composed of five grape varieties that together represent fingers interlocked on the handle of a gladius to conquer the palate, achieving success without a shadow of a doubt. Viognier, Chardonnay, Bellone, Incrocio Manzoni and Petit Manseng make up the 2021 vintage, which in the glass has a deep and bright straw yellow color, an intense and subtle aroma, juicy pineapple fruit, yellow plum, jasmine, a wet gravel feel, sweetness of cane sugar. A sip signifies good structure and softness, the return of yellow fruit, pleasant freshness and subtle juiciness.
