Tom Brady pledged Sunday that he will always be loyal to the New England Patriots, the NFL team he has played for more than 20 years.
“No matter what happens, the one thing that will never change in my life is that I will always be a proud ‘patriot.’ It’s been an extraordinary 20 years for this city, and there’s no better place than to campaign for the inauguration“The man considered the best player in NFL history said this as he was honored at halftime of the New England Patriots’ game against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
Brady, who won six Super Bowls with the Patriots before retiring last February, thanked the nearly 66,000 fans in the stadium for the ovation.
“Tom, there are not enough words to express our gratitude to you. We hope to do this today and during your future Hall of Fame induction ceremonies to confirm yourself as the greatest player of all time.. Thank you for everything you do,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said in a tribute.
Tom Brady played his final season with New England in 2019 and joined the Patriots for the 2000 season.
Brady won Super Bowls 36, 38, 39, XLIX, LI and LIII with the Patriotswas named MVP in five of those six Super Bowl games.
After leaving New England, Brady played three more seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won his seventh Super Bowl (LV) ring, becoming the player with the most championships in NFL history.
