I’m like Tom Brady and Michael Vick

Shaddell Sanders doesn’t just think he’s a great quarterback.

No, he thinks he’s in the mix for a great quarterback.

“I can play like (Tom) Brady, but I’m also able to extend the game, if not there, like (Mike) Vick,” the Colorado star told Complex. “So it depends on the situation, and every time a situation happens in the game, they say, ‘Hey, tonight you have to be Vick. Tonight you have to be Mike Vick. So, that’s when we get the legs involved as well. It’s time to come in.

“But I say it’s a mixture of a lot of great quarterbacks, they just have different skill sets. That’s why I feel like what I bring to the table is special. I want to stay in the pocket and I want to throw it out like Tom , but sometimes those opportunities don’t exist.

Sanders, the son of former NFL great and Buffalo coach Deion, went on to claim that he has “Brady mode,” “Vic mode” and “legend mode.”

The Jackson State transfer has certainly shown off his skills this season, passing for 2,882 yards and 24 touchdowns to just three interceptions while also adding three rushing touchdowns.

Still, the 21-year-old has attracted his fair share of detractors as Colorado falls to 4-5 on the season.

He received a lot of criticism in October when one of his social media accounts shared a link to merchandise during halftime of Stanford’s eventual 46-43 loss.

It’s all just motivation for this flashy quarterback.

“I mean, I enjoy it. I enjoy the hatred,” he said. “I love it when they’re angry. If they’re not talking about what you’re doing, then you’re not relevant. You’re not doing anything. So knowing that people hate you means you’re doing the right thing. Because if someone’s not talking about You say anything negative or anything, then you’re not doing the right thing in life.”
