Experts from the National Institute of Oncology and Diseases (INEN) conducted specialized surgical training on liver cancer for doctors at Moi University Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kenya, Africa.
This training was conducted by INEN abdominal department doctors who have experience in the treatment of giant liver tumors.
During the three-week period from September 3 to 24, 2023, the INEN multidisciplinary team will be responsible for supplementing technology transfer with on-site technical assistance, which will improve the resection of giant tumors in liver cancer. Kenya Hospital.

After learning about the work of INEN, Kenyan hospitals began efforts to contact the institution, and the first meeting with doctors from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital was held at INEN in 2022, which was successful; later developed in Kenya, including many Exhaustive training in sub-liver surgery, with a vision that matches the reality of African countries.
In this regard, Ruiz Figueroa, who is currently carrying out specialized training in Kenya, highlighted the commitment and enthusiasm of the institution’s doctors to learn new surgical techniques that will allow for better management of large tumors and those affected by the disease people’s survival.
