As Health Minister Alejandro Vázquez said yesterday, the spread of the influenza virus has been increasing in Leon in recent weeks, although there is no “check” on health services in the province or in the community. The positive rate of respiratory syncytial virus in sentinel samples was 18.7%, and the positive rate of respiratory syncytial virus in non-sentinel samples dropped to 15.6%. Influenza A (H1) viruses are more dominant than influenza A (H3) and B viruses. During this season, the coronavirus mainly affects the age group of 75 and above. Influenza, bronchitis, and bronchiolitis, on the other hand, occur in children under 5 years of age. The health minister also noted that flu vaccinations related to the new coronavirus vaccine are proceeding “completely normally” and that he is confident that at least the same results will be obtained as the previous vaccination.
