The Municipal Council of San Fernando de Henares reports on the launch of the 2023-2024 influenza vaccination campaign by the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, which takes place in parallel with the autumn COVID-19 vaccination. The event started on October 16th and will last until January 31st.

How does it spread?
Influenza is a highly contagious disease that spreads through tiny droplets of saliva that come out of the nose and mouth when you talk, cough, and sneeze. Also through surfaces or hands contaminated by these droplets.

The incubation period is approximately 1 or 2 days. The main symptoms are general malaise, severe headache, more or less diffuse muscle pain, fever and cough.
