Prior to the supposed truce, the Israeli army had once again called on residents of the northern Gaza Strip, particularly Shujaiya and Jabalia, to immediately evacuate their residential areas.
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee announced in a tweet on “X” that residents of those areas will have to travel the Salah al-Din Road until 4 pm local time to reach the southern part of the Gaza Valley and the “humanitarian zone”.
“Temporary Tactical Suspension”
He also said there will be a “temporary tactical suspension of military activities” between 10am and 2pm for what he called “humanitarian purposes” in the Al-Salam and Al-Manara neighborhoods in Khan Yunis.
He said Hamas had lost control over the northern part of the Gaza Strip, accusing it of trying to prevent residents from moving south.
He called on residents to remain in the southern Gaza Strip, particularly in the Al-Mawasi area.

At the same time, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they had targeted a concentration of Israeli forces in Holit with a short-range “Rajum” missile system.
Killed by bombing in Khan Yunis
Despite calls to head south, Israel bombed a house in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing 14 people and wounding at least 13 from the Abu Musamah family.
Residents of the residential square hit by the bombing confirmed that they had not heard the sound of any explosion, but that they suddenly found themselves in the middle of the destruction.
The Palestinian News Agency reported today that last night was the most violent since Israeli attacks on Gaza began on October 7, after Israel shelled residential neighborhoods in many parts of the Gaza Strip, leaving dozens dead and wounded.
