Cristiano Ronaldo has long dominated the Meta-owned photo and video app since surpassing Selena Gomez in 2018 to become the most followed celebrity on Instagram.

Technically, Instagram’s own account is the most followed page with 662 million followers and aims to highlight famous creators and moments on the platform. But according to analytics database Social Blade, the Portuguese football star is still the one receiving the most attention, and by a tiny margin.

Ronaldo has 611 million followers, and his second-biggest follower is footballer Lionel Messi, who hails from Argentina and currently has 492 million followers – a considerable number, but still About 100 million less than the first place.

In third place is Gomez, the most followed woman on the app with 430 million followers. Following closely behind is reality TV star, beauty and fashion entrepreneur Kylie Jenner, who has 398 million followers. (Gomez’s focus on Jenner increased even further in March, amid speculation that Jenner was secretly mocking her, leading Gomez to gain more than 12 million followers in 10 days.)

According to Social Blade, the rest of the top 10 includes retired wrestler and multi-talented Dwayne Johnson, two of the world’s most popular singers, Ariana Grande ) and Beyoncé Knowles, as well as Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian.
