Giada Pieracchini, what is it like to be the new Miss Tuscany?
“A fantastic end to a long journey of away games across the region. The dream came true. I’m only 18 but I have clear ideas and I wanted to win this title.”
She became one of the favorites after an exciting election journey.
“I won seven of the eight meetings I took part in and finished third in the semi-finals. But I wasn’t sure that I would get the most prestigious scepter. Kelly Modaro, one of the Montecatini twins who raced, is beautiful. She was my favorite.”
The victory made headlines in Ripa, the village of Seravezza, in historic Versilia.
“In the final, everyone was rooting for me, including my parents and other relatives. It was a great satisfaction for everyone. In addition, Castelfiorentino, the venue of the final, is in our destiny.”
Explain better…
“I have two dedications. The first is to my grandfather Maresco, who left us the day I turned 18. My mother Cristina’s family is from Castelfiorentino. They came to Versilia by the sea and here she met my father Massimo, who works as a restaurateur in a seaside resort in Marina di Pietrasanta and passed on his passion for cooking to me. For us, as for other girls in 44 years of competition, he was a father, generous with advice. We remember him fondly.”
For her parents, she is the daughter that everyone would like to have. Too good ?
“I am a girl who is not afraid of sacrifice. Every morning I get up at 5.30 from Pietrasanta and take the train to Livorno, where I study at the dance school. In addition to studies, there is dance training and other physical tests associated with the show. .It’s not a joke, but I don’t feel victimized.”
Now Miss Italy: what are your goals after the competition?
“I saw it on TV as a child and I said: one day I would like to be there. This day came. I’ll be in the final ready to play for
chances. The world of cinema fascinates me. My favorite actress is Margot Robbie. I studied acting, and becoming an actress was my dream. I have other hobbies like horseback riding but no boyfriend. Who knows if the same guy will come.”
