Jenna Ortega denies “ridiculous” rumors that she is dating Johnny Depp.

That Wednesday the star took to Instagram to disprove the rumors and put an end to the false claims once and for all.

Ortega, who is 40 years younger than Depp, has denied the rumors that first surfaced when the two were mistakenly spotted together, as well as theories that Depp might have been involved. Beetlejuice 2.

“This is so funny I can’t even laugh,” the 20-year-old wrote. “I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone.”

Depp’s rep also denied the relationship rumors, as well as speculation that he could star alongside Ortega in the upcoming sci-fi comedy film.

Depp’s spokesman said in a statement: “Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega. He never met her or spoke to her.”

The message went on to say, “He is not involved with her in any project and is not going to be involved in this. He is appalled by these unfounded and malicious rumors that are intended to damage his reputation and career.”

Ortega has previously been very open about how social media trolls have affected her in a discussion with Elle Fanning for the magazine. Variety actors on actors row.

She said, “Social media, what they do to people our age, is such a comparison game.

“It affects the mentality of the winners. It’s very manipulative.”

Speaking of needing to be careful with what she posts on social media, she added: “They see your vulnerability and distort it in ways you don’t always expect.”

Bursting into tears, Ortega added, “This is so weird. Sorry, I didn’t mean to do this. It’s very difficult to keep a balance. Because how can you be honest without compromising your own health and safety? It’s very easy to feel almost out of control.”

Beetlejuice 2, the film, which will hit our screens next September, is directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar from a story by Seth Graham-Smith.

The film is long-awaited beetle juice which first appeared back in 1988.

It featured such Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe along with Ortega.

Ortega will play Winona Ryder’s daughter in the sequel, and this will be the second time she has worked with Burton, who also directs. Wednesday.

“It was an absolutely crazy experience,” she said of working with Burton on her beloved Netflix series.

“I was fortunate to get the opportunity to work with an iconic director who turned out to be one of the nicest directors I’ve worked with, as well as the most attentive to detail.”
