John Legend’s older children had to “adapt” to having children.
The 44-year-old singer shares seven-year-old Luna, five-year-old Miles, nine-month-old Esty and four-month-old Ren with wife Chrissy Teigen, and explained that while they have “a lot of fun” in his home, the eldest they have had to adjust to having young children in the family.
He told Entertainment Tonight: “Well, you know, it was two or three and then quickly three or four. And I think the biggest change was that the older kids got used to having kids around. They are such good elders. Brothers and sisters, we have a lot of fun. Honestly, there is just more love and more joy in the house. Esty is crawling! Things happen! She’s pretty fast. I think she’s the earliest crawler in our family at the moment!”
However, the Hollywood couple experienced their share of tragedy, losing baby Jack while five months into Chrissy’s pregnancy in September 2020.
Earlier this year, the All of Me hitmaker admitted he was in awe of his wife’s “strength and resilience” because she had to endure the “physical trauma” of dealing with their shared grief.
When asked about sharing the difficult parts of his life with the world, John told Fatherly: “The moments of joy and love just outweigh any negative experiences we’ve had. our sustainability.
“Especially as a husband, you’re grieving yourself, but you also know it’s even worse for your wife because it’s not just emotional trauma. It is also the physical trauma that happens when you lose a child.
