“Volcano”, the new Jungle album, will be released on August 11th.. This is literally erupting musical lava, creativity that cannot be contained, music polluted and firmly connected with the rhythms of nature. Two founders J and T (friends, musicians and founders Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd Watson) they wrote most of the tour record before starting the recording process while they were staying on Airbnb in Los Angeles. The album was then finished at home in London, at their favorite location, Studio B at Metropolis Studios. Like Eric the Architectcollaboration on disk Short (already present on the “Romeo” single from the previous “Loving in Stereo”), and other talents such as Roots Manuva, Channel Tres and JNR Williams.
The cover of “Volcano” corresponds to the elegant minimalism. which was on the previous three discs. Again, the basic graphic design remains the same, but palette changed to reflect the album’s sonic stylethis time with the warmth that accompanies the whole project. “Nature is a constant source of inspiration, but being like that is normal, if you are not connected to what surrounds us, you cannot make art,” admits Tom McFarland, connected to Zoom, “this record is undoubtedly warm, liberating, sparkling. What we’re really interested in is creating worlds where we can find each other.. Spectators can open the door and enter, finding everyone there to the same music. In a nutshell: this is an exchange. Our vision, our research cannot ignore all this.” ‘Volcano’ follows their previous album ‘Loving in Stereo’ which was released in 2021 and peaked at number three on the UK charts. while in the United States it peaked at number one on the Billboard Dance Albums chart. The goal that brought the Jungle famous their mixes of soul, dance, psychedelia, hip hop and funk to guest Billie Eilish on her US tour. With its unmistakable and future-oriented products, Volcano is literally a hot plate.
One of the launch singles “Candle Flame”, also thanks to the rhymes of Eric the Architect, shines with bold energy and seems to have convinced even longtime fans, those who have been following the project for ten years, have seen and lived the evolution. “I think it could become one of the audience’s favorite songs during live performances. admits Tom McFarland, “for us, cooperation and interpenetration are of fundamental importance. It became almost a mission, a philosophy. You see, a lot of people ask us how our sound has changed over time, and I think a lot of the answers can be found in the energy exchange that we’re doing. In the beginning, as usual, there were many instincts, less reasoning.. Now we take care of every detail, and we like to go beyond all boundaries, communicating with artists who allow us to travel more and more.” Then he continues: “In this work we wanted create something personal and universal by exploring the ups and downs of love and relationships in a way that was poetic and authentic. Working with Eric the Architect was an absolute pleasure and his perspective and his unique talents added another layer of depth and richness to the song.. “Candle Flame” reflects everything we stand for as a band: creativity, passion and commitment to making music that touches the hearts and minds of our fans.”
All Jungle videos are physically and full of choreography. “The body vibrates, this is the first music receiver – the artist emphasizes, – these are closely related elements, the body reacts to music. And letting it go is the way to go beyond problems. The disk is like this: it’s an invitation to dance, let go, enjoy life, banishing fears and what’s wrong“. Following the recent confirmation of their headlining appearance at All Points East (August 26), the band also announced details of a major North American and European headlining tour, including stops in Italy, November 2 at Alcatraz in Milan.
