Kim Kardashian was cool, calm and creepy in the new American Horror Story: Delicate finale trailer released by FX on Friday the 13th.
The 42-year-old makeup mogul, who plays enigmatic publicist Siobhan Corbyn, maintained her composure during several tense conversations, including with her client, actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts).
At the start of the short clip, Kim’s character Siobhan looked like she stepped off the red carpet in a stunning sleeveless dress and quizzed Anna Victoria about her ultimate goal in Hollywood.
“Do you want an Oscar?” – Kim calmly asked Emma on the phone.
After Emma answers “Yes”. Kim added: “Do you want this as much as you want a baby?”
The trailer then began with a chilling montage of Emma going through her pregnancy as she is seen in her hospital bed screaming: “I can’t live with this much pain.”
After Emma confronted her husband and told him to “admit” that he thought she was “making it all up,” Kim got back to business on her laptop and asked, “Too paranoid?”
When mysterious figures kidnapped Emma and invaded the maternity ward, Kim was confronted by a man who chillingly asked her, “Who the hell are you?”
Kim’s true identity may be revealed in the final episode of “The Delicate Part 1” on Wednesday.
The latest image comes less than two weeks after FX posted a chilling shot of her with a giant black widow spider attached to her torso, with its spindly legs wrapped around her body.
AHS: Delicate is a film adaptation of the horror book “Delicate Condition”, authored by Daniel Valentine.
The plot revolves around Anna, an actress who has undergone several IVF procedures. She becomes increasingly paranoid, suspecting that mysterious forces are interfering with her attempts to conceive.
However, her concerns are ignored by everyone, including her husband.
At some point, Anna actually became pregnant, but tragically suffered a miscarriage. Despite doctors’ assurances to the contrary, she continues to feel her baby’s development and her body is showing unmistakable signs of pregnancy.
“It’s essentially a pregnancy horror novel,” Valentine told Entertainment Weekly.
“This is a novel that explores not only the very real physical horror of pregnancy, but also the medical gaslighting that even modern, very privileged women face during pregnancy, and symptoms that I feel we as a culture are still blind to.” . don’t talk about it for weird reasons.
The author added that when writing the book, she was more inspired by Alien than by Rosemary’s Baby.
Kim previously shared her enthusiasm for appearing in the cult horror anthology during an interview with Variety in May.
“It’s very exciting to step outside of your comfort zone, try something new and grow. I’m so happy about this experience,” Kim told the publication.
She added that she’s been taking acting classes to prepare, saying, “I like to challenge myself.”
Creator Ryan Murphy has previously admired the star and her acting talents.
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy said in a statement.
“(Showrunner) Hallie Feiffer wrote a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role specifically for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we’ve ever done.”
Her co-star Zachary Quinto also had nothing but praise for the mother of four.
“She was so sweet and warm,” he told reporters at the Tribeca Film Festival in June.
“She seemed really in her element and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness. I think she will do a wonderful job.”
Kim’s co-stars also include Matt Czuchry as Dexter Harding Jr.; Annabelle Dexter-Jones as Sonia Shawcross; Michaela Hae Rodriguez as Nicolette; and Cara Delevingne as Ivy.
American Horror Story was created by Murphy and Brad Falchuk in 2011.
