We talked about it a few months ago and now new details are arriving on the release of the film The Zodiac Knights. We definitely have something concrete in our hands, the poster for example, e the debut date, June 26, 2023. But there’s much more: the official trailer is finally available!
But be warned, Sony Pictures lets it be known that the screenings will last only three days, namely 26, 27 and 28 June, so if you wait for the arrival of this film, save the dates! Let’s find out a few more details on the story thanks to the official synopsis, which we propose to follow.
Based on the famous animated series, The Zodiac Knights brings the Saint Seiya saga in live-action to the big screen for the first time. Seiya, played by Mackenyu, is a stubborn street teenager who spends his time searching for his kidnapped sister and fighting for money. When one of his fights unwittingly unleashes mystical powers he never knew he had, Seiya finds himself drawn into a world of warring saints, ancient magical training, and a reincarnated goddess who needs his protection. To survive, he will have to embrace his destiny and sacrifice everything to win his rightful place among the Knights of the Zodiac.

In the cast in addition to Mackenyu (Pacific Rim: Uprising) who plays the protagonist Seiya, Famke Janssen (X-Men), Madison Iseman (Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle), Diego Tinoco (Teen Wolf), Mark Dacascos (The pact of the wolves), Nick Stahl (Sin City) and Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings) in the role of Alman Kiddo, the man who will recruit the protagonist to make him a knight. The Zodiac Knightsevent film, will only be in cinemas on June 26, 27 and 28 produced by Sony Pictures and distributed by Eagle Pictures.
The Zodiac Knights is a Japanese manga created by Masami Kuramada whose anime went into wave from 1986 to 1991, and after Toei Animation’s adaptation it became one of the most popular titles in Japanese anime culture. Recently, Netflix produced a 3D animated reboot, titled Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac, that the most curious can go and look at while awaiting its arrival in Italian cinemas.
