Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the most accomplished players on and off the court in NBA history. Not only is he a four-time champion and the NBA’s all-time scoring leader, he also has multiple successful business ventures and a New York Times best-selling children’s book.

The book, titled “I Commit,” was inspired by the school of the same name that LeBron opened in 2018 in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The book was released in 2020 and was a huge success, and now James has released a second book.

The Lakers superstar announced that he is working with HarperCollins Children’s Books on a new children’s picture book called “I Am More Than”:

LeBlanc will talk about the decision to release a second book after the success of the first, adding what he hopes everyone who reads it will take away from the second book:

โ€œItโ€™s been incredible to see the response of students, teachers, and families to I Promise and its message of encouragement. With this next book, we hope to continue to inspire kids everywhere to keep dreaming and not let anything hold them back. I Am More Than is about believing in yourself and all the amazing things you can achieve that no one else can define for you. I hope everyone who reads this book will be inspired to They go ‘above and beyond’ in everything they do.”

James has always cared about family, inspiring and helping those less fortunate. As a poor kid growing up in Akron, LeBron knew the importance of lifting himself up and did a lot of work throughout his career to help his community.

There are many outstanding athletes who have accomplished so much on or off the court, but few are as dedicated to their family and community as LeBron, and his work off the court is truly special.

Lakers head coach Davin Hamm talks about managing LeBron James’ workload this season

James’ second book may be on the way, but he’s still focused on the upcoming season. Entering his 21st year in the NBA, LeBron has been unable to maintain the workload of previous years, but head coach Davin Hamm and the rest of the Lakers staff are working with the superstar to manage him on a daily basis.

“It’s a day-to-day deal. It’s a great thing to work with the medical staff and himself, Rob (Pelinka). We’re going to come up with a solid plan,” Hamm said. “Again, it’s easy for him to deal with those so-called unknown challenges because he takes good care of himself. Constantly preparing himself.

โ€œAgain, not just to be able to play, but to play at the highest level, again, weโ€™ll just see day by day where it goes, but certainly heโ€™ll play half of the (preseason) games. That’s the plan, that’s the plan. “We’re not going to waver on that, but other than that, everything else, we’ll take it day by day. “
