Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum talks about the player that inspires him the most, and it’s not LeBron James or Michael Jordan.

“To me, that’s an inspiring thing.He inspired people the same way he inspired others 2,000 miles away,” Tatum told TNT. “Just watching him on TV, watching his interviews, watching how hard he works, watching the ups and downs of his career… I see myself in him.”
Bryant certainly cemented his legacy during his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, inspiring players and fans across the country. In fact, he’s one of the few icons who gets included in the “GOAT” conversation from time to time.

LeBron James praises Tatum
The Boston Celtics star may still have work to do to reach Kobe Bryant’s status, but he’s already making a name for himself around the league. In fact, even LeBron is an admirer of Tatum’s game.
“He’s 25 years old and he’s been to the conference finals I believe four times and the NBA Finals eleven times. He is 25 years old,“ James said last week Attention game podcast. “I didn’t win my first championship until I was 28. I think Joker (Nikola Jokic) won his first championship when he was 27. I think MJ (Michael Jordan) was 28 too.“
Tatum’s talent is unquestionable, although he lacks a championship on his resume to reflect his true potential. He’s carrying the Celtics’ aspirations once again this season, and James is one of those backing Tatum to finally go that route.
“We have big expectations for JT, but he’s had a lot of wins so far in his career and obviously everyone wants to see him overcome itbut reached the conference finals four times and played in the finals before turning 26, That’s the elite,” James added.
