LeBron James and good friend and business partner Maverick Carter issued a statement condemning the tragedy in Israel.

“The devastation in Israel is tragic and unacceptable. Hamas’ murder and violence against innocent people is terrorism. The SpringHill family extends our deepest condolences to Israel and the Jewish community,” the statement read.
“We pray for peace in the region and reaffirm our continued commitment to combating all forms of hatred. “We must work to ensure that this tragedy does not spread further hatred, racism and anti-Semitism. “

According to the latest report from Al Jazeera, the war between Israel and Hamas has killed more than 2,300 people. A total of 22 Americans have been confirmed dead in the conflict, and 17 more are missing.
Like LeBron James, several other NBA teams and players have taken a strong stance and expressed support for Israel. The NBA and NBPA also issued statements over the weekend to address the heartbreaking tragedy that claimed so many lives.
“The NBA and NBPA mourn the horrific loss of life in Israel and condemn these acts of terrorism. We stand with the people of Israel and pray for peace throughout the region,” the statement said.
Others have also taken action, including Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, who donated $750,000 to Israel to help victims and first responders.
