LeBron James heads up ‘The Shop’ to visit Tennessee

LeBron James’ media company produces hit show ‘The Shop’ uninterrupted, Visit Tennessee this Friday. The show will be taped live on HBCU campuses during Homecoming Week.

While the guest list has yet to be announced, The Shop is known for its candid conversations between celebrity guests. Celebrities, actors, athletes, musicians and public figures came together to discuss their thoughts on the 30-minute production. The show was created in 2018 and stars Chris Paul, Donald Glover, Jay-Z, Tom Brady, Wanda Sykes, Gavin Newsome, the late Chadwick Boss Guests such as Mann have appeared in the show.

A series of activities will be held for Tennessee State University students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students can sign up for free haircuts, take photos in the photo booth or shoot hoops in a pop-up basket. There will also be an online site and event-exclusive merchandise. These events will be immediately followed by a one-hour live performance. Seating is first come, first served.

Tennessee is the first stop on “The Shop Live HBCU Tour.” Two weeks after the Nashville trip, the tour will arrive in Hampton, Virginia on October 27th. Students from Hampton University and visitors from the Buccaneers’ returning rival North Carolina A&T will enjoy the same festivities as their fellow HBCUs to the north. Additionally, there will be a concert following the show’s taping, although it will be limited to the Hamptons portion of the tour.

The tour will conclude on November 2 in Greensboro, North Carolina, for North Carolina A&T’s world-famous Greatest Homecoming on Earth (GHOE) celebration.
