Bryce James, the youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, is scouring the country to find the right fit at the next level.
According to Keegan Pope of On3.com, James took an unofficial visit to USC on Thursday as part of the Trojans’ Midnight Madness.
This is James’ second unofficial visit this month. On October 7, he attended Ohio State’s 37-17 victory over Maryland and posted a series of photos of himself wearing a Buckeyes basketball jersey on Instagram.
James was also photographed talking to Ohio State basketball coach Chris Holtmann on the sideline during the game.
USC does have a history with the James family. LeBron’s oldest son, Bronny James, signed a letter of intent with the Trojans in May. His status for the 2023-24 season remains up in the air as he continues to recover from injury. cardiac arrest The injury occurred during a practice on July 24.
LeBron told reporters during Lakers media day on Oct. 2 that Bronny’s recovery is going well and he plans to play for USC at some point this season.
According to 247Sports, Bryce James has received two official offers from Ohio State University and Duquesne University. He is part of the 2025 recruiting class, so more offers will start to come in as he nears high school graduation.
The 16-year-old is a three-star prospect who ranks as the No. 21 shooting guard in the 2025 class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. His height is 6 feet 4 inches and his weight is 180 pounds.
James currently attends Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. He played last season at Sierra Canyon, on the same team as Bronny.
