The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to lose an in-season championship game, and LeBron James told reporters after the Portland Trail Blazers’ win on Nov. 17 that he and his teammates “know what’s at stake.”
Players on the team that wins the NBA Cup will each receive a bonus of $500,000.
“I think it’s definitely a motivation. It’s early in the season when you’re playing in-season tournaments, so we know what’s at stake,” LeBron said. “In the in-season tournament, we don’t put all our eggs in one basket. But we know when the games come, every Tuesday and Friday, we know what the games are, we know what’s at stake. So we know what’s at stake. , so far it’s been good for us.”
The Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies and Trail Blazers in three tournament games during the season. They have one game left against the Utah Jazz on November 21st.

The 38-year-old LeBron is averaging 25.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game this season. Even though he is the oldest player in the league, he is still one of the best players in the league.
