LeBron James wife Savannah James talks about trying new things as kids grow up

Now that her three kids with husband LeBron James are grown, Savannah James is ready to take the next step and try something new. 19-year-old Bronny James is preparing for his NCAA debut and is expected to declare for the NBA draft next summer. Meanwhile, Bryce, 16, was in high school and their daughter, Zhuri, was nine.

With that in mind, Savannah now has the opportunity to focus more on herself and try new things, like her appearance in the recent “Beats by Dre” commercial featuring LeBron James and football superstar Erling Ha Starring Rand.

Savannah James said in an interview with Essence:

“I think when I started having kids, it was a moment in my life where I felt like this is what I want to do. I wanted to be a mother and I wanted to sit down, for lack of a better word, And make sure I raise people who are kind, respectful, and humble.

“With Bronny going off to college, Bryce being a junior in high school, and Juri now turning nine, just nine years old, they have a good grasp of the dynamics of our family and what’s expected of them.

“I feel like I don’t have to be a helicopter mom per se, I can go out and follow my passions and dive into new things that I’m interested in. So I think it’s mostly just me knowing that the foundation is laid and I’m interested in I’m happy with where I left them. So I’m excited to see where my passion can take me.”

Savannah James made headlines earlier this week for appearing in a “Beats by Dre” commercial, earning high praise from her husband.

Considering the partnership between LeBron and Dr. Dre, as well as the James family’s status as brand ambassadors, it wouldn’t be surprising if we see Savannah appear in more “Beats by Dre” ads.

Savannah James hints LeBron James plans to play with his two sons before retiring

LeBron James has repeatedly spoken about his desire to play with his son, Bronny, before retiring from the NBA. But now it appears the four-time NBA champion and scoring champion may be planning to play with his two sons before calling it a day.

Savannah James says in the ad: “Tell them your job isn’t done before you play with your son. And then do it again.”

LeBron James’ contract with the Los Angeles Lakers expires in the summer of 2025, with the final year as a player option. Bronny will be eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft, while Bruce could enter the league as early as 2026.
